Institute of Functional Interfaces

Head of the working group

Dipl.Ing. Jonas Wohlgemuth

Process and Sensor Technology, 3D Prints

The working group of Mr. Wohlgemuth is concerned with the design, construction, production and testing of test facilities for the generation of functional surfaces as well as prototypes of novel process technologies. Another focus of the activities is the application of 3D printers for the realization of scientific tasks and their use for combined tasks.

Among the projects already realized are: (i) automated spraying systems for flexible and fast generation of MOF layers on surfaces (patent application), (ii) a programmable magnet array for screening of manufacturing methods for chemical ligands, and (iii) reactor systems with movable, local tempering zone for testing a new type of thermoresponsive liquid chromatography.
