The ProcessNet Annual Conference and 31st DECHEMA Annual Conference of Biotechnologists 2014 started under the common motto "ProcessNet 21plus - Shaping the Future" and thus underlined the outstanding position of chemical engineering and biology as key technologies for solving important questions of the future.

The poster "Investigation of protein binding to 3D printing material - Basics for the rational design of printable enzyme reactors" by Franziska Kazenwadel was awarded a poster prize. The poster summarizes the progress made in the development of flexible enzyme reactors for the immobilization of artificial enzyme cascades. The focus of the presented work is on the interactions of the proteins used with the 3D printing material, which is to be used for the production of the reactors.
